Pre-Sales Consultant- Google Workspace

As a Cloud Consultant for work transformation you will have a passion for driving customers to modernise the way they work through improved sharing and collaboration, facilitated by innovative workplace solutions and robust identity management.

You will become a trusted advisor to customers by having a thorough understanding of business challenges and the relevant cloud technologies to solve them. Working alongside Account Managers and Sales Executives to evangelise our product and service offerings.

You will also supervise a team of Deployment Specialists who are responsible for the technical aspects of customer modernisation projects, primarily deploying and configuring Google Workspace and Okta Identity Management.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with the sales team on qualifying opportunities, proposals and pitches for business
  • Provide pre-sales support to create high quality proposals and SOWs in a timely manner for customer opportunities
  • Attend customer meetings with Account Managers and Sales Executives to provide technical expertise and guidance
  • Wow customers with engaging demos and success stories
  • Work closely with customers to understand and capture requirements
  • Educate customers in the benefits of cloud computing
  • Put together business cases for the sales team to support their proposals
  • Produce detailed costings for customers and ensure the contract is profitable
  • Work closely with the delivery and support teams and project managers to ensure a clear delivery model (Statement of Works)
  • Present proposals to customers alongside members of the sales team
  • Respond to customers’ requests for information and proposal requests
  • Promote Google Cloud services to businesses both in the UK and internationally, leveraging existing customer relationships to identify new opportunities for upselling
  • Engage with and maintain key relationships within assigned accounts
  • Plan approaches & pitches, working with others to develop a proposal that addresses the client’s needs, concerns & objectives
  • Supervise a team of deployment specialists in a player/coach role
  • Act as a lead on large customer engagements, coordinating both technical and non-technical resources
  • Provide thought leadership on Google Cloud strategy to customers

Key Skills:

  • In depth knowledge and experience of the Google Workspace portfolio of products, in particular experience of deploying and administering is desirable
  • Confident, comfortable and articulate in front of customers, and you won’t shy away from challenging and influencing decision makers
  • The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand and engaging
  • Self-starter, positive attitude, competitive
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and proactive approach to completing assigned tasks. Must also be comfortable working to deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Healthy negotiation and interpersonal problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers by email and verbally
  • Willingness to contribute to a great culture, and deliver new ideas to the role
  • Happy to go the extra mile for business and customer needs

Desirable Skills:

  • Current certifications in Google Collaboration (Workspace / G Suite)
  • Hands on experience of Okta Identity Cloud products and services (or other AIM solutions)
  • Current certifications in Okta
  • Experience working within a technical pre-sales position
  • Previous experience in a consultancy or professional services role
  • Experience in identity management and security
  • Google Workspace deployment services credential
  • Chrome Enterprise and deployment credential
  • Professional Collaboration Engineer credential
  • Chrome Enterprise and deployment credential
  • Okta Certified Administrator 
  • Experience or knowledge of working with public cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS or Azure 
  • Understanding of traditional infrastructure and application deployments
  • General knowledge of areas of business operations beyond IT
  • Experience of working in customer facing environments

Location:

Central Manchester Head Office/Utrecht Office - close to all public transport links, or home based - some travel to client sites will be required.
